A turn for the worse

Cassandra has taken a turn for the worse over the last few days. Since she eats and drinks very little, she has lost a great deal of weight. This week, most likely Wednesday, a feeding tube will be surgically inserted in order to prevent her from experiencing potentially serious organ damage. As well, there will be a meeting involving the medical team, the Lamans and advisors to determine what the next steps should be. From a human point of view, the situation is quite serious.

Everyone is asked to storm the thrown of grace on behalf of Cassandra and her family: Ask that an accurate diagnosis will soon be made ; that wisdom would be granted to all involved to make the right decisions; that the family would be given all they need as they go through this very difficult time; that this trial would be used to convert sinners and draw God’s people ever closer to Him.

1I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence comes my help?
2My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Palm 121:1 & 2

We where shocked to hear such sad news. We will pray that the Lord will give the doctors what they need to help Cassey.

Dear Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Cassandra. The words of Psalter 188 came in my thoughts, but with a few little changes.
Make haste, O our God, to deliver, we pray, O Lord to her rescue make haste. We cry in deep need and Thy help we implore. Our Saviour Thou art, and our strength evermore. No longer Thy coming delay.

Love from uncle Mike and aunt Cathy Laman, N.J.

To all: there have been some calls and questions with respect to the statement "From a human point of view, the situation is extremely grave." Please note that this statement was based on the fact that Cassandra became very agitated last Friday and Saturday regressing with the fear that her initial state of illness was returning. Cassandra now has excellant moments where she is cognitive to moments of forgetfulness, incoherance and agression. We will be meeting with the medical team tomorrow. We hope and pray that wisdom will be given to the Doctors and the entire medical team guiding them to some conclusive answers and solutions to assie's ailments
